Cooking spray is really an unnecessary expense.... Yes, it's convenient, but it's really not necessary. I also am a little wary of the chemicals/fumes/who-knows-what that is in cooking spray. I do keep it on hand, but I don't use it often. Instead of cooking spray I save the wrappers from my butter and margarine cubes. My kids think it's so weird that we have a stack of butter wrappers in our fridge, but there is always butter left on the wrapper. They're perfect to rub onto a pan before baking or cooking! Then I just throw the paper away! It's simple and it's free since you'd just be throwing the wrappers away anyways! Wa-la!
