I believe that there is nothing more important in this world than the family. I know that being a wife and mother is the most crucial calling I will have in this life even if the wife thing is on hold for the time being.
I am always looking for ways to improve myself, my time, my home and my family.
I love all things vintage; thrift stores are my favorite places to shop and the color pink makes me very happy! (Unless we're talking nail polish, then it's all about black, of course!) I enjoy volunteering at my children's school and am always heavily involved in the PTA heading up several committees. Yes, I'm a little crazy!
I am a huge supporter of our military! Not only do I have two brothers in the military, sending care packages has always been one of my favorite hobbies! I also love organizing what I call "Care Package Attacks" where my friends (that's you) and I put together care packages for a whole unit of deployed soldiers in combat zones. These men sacrifice so much for us, I love giving back!
God bless the U.S.A and God bless our troops!
I've always been a bit of a social butterfly. I LOVE planning and hosting events and parties. If it were up to me we'd still live in the era of dinner parties and weekend get-togethers... of course I'd be wearing my lovely pink hostess apron and pearl necklace as I served the hors d'oeuvres!
Today my social butterfly personality has extended to that of a social networking butterfly as well. Not only do I manage my own blogs, online shop, facebook pages and upcoming website, I also have set up and managed several others. I was even featured on Provo's Channel 17 news as the Provo City employee of the month for my work with the Covey Center for the Art's facebook page!
I have an etsy shop where I sell vintage and antiques along with homemade jewelry! It's been a great blessing in our lives to help cover some of those "extra" expenses like dentist's visits and back to school shopping.
I have three amazing children! Nina is my beautiful drama queen. She loves acting, reading, writing, finding ways to get out of her chores and modeling. Her and I have recently been extras in a couple of short films to help her acting resume.
Alyssa is my sweet, caring girl who is the funniest person I've ever known. She can be shy in a crowd, but once she warms up she'll have you rolling!
Caleb is my little mommy's boy! He loves video games, computers, football, race cars, the military and all sorts of nerdy things, according to his sisters. He is a goof ball and really loves his mom a lot.
Cooking is one of my greatest passions! Rarely will you find a recipe on my blog that isn't simple enough for my kids to make and inexpensive enough that anyone can afford it.
I also love simple crafts and decorating my house. I love making over or upcycling thrift store and yard sale finds to keep my house always looking different and adorable.
My biggest food weaknesses are for sure Nutella, brownies and Cherry Coke. When you combine them? Heaven!
I enjoy teaching classes for church as well on topics such as 72 hour kits for the women or etiquette for the 8-11 year old girls. I'm not sure how I became comfortable in front of a crowd, but somewhere along the lines I did!
I can come to your location and teach for a low rate! You can book a class for your church group or girl's night out group today!
And last, but not least, I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints... known to some of you as a Mormon. I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ with all my heart and I am so grateful for all the many blessings they have given me!
If you'd like to know more about my religious beliefs, I love answering questions!
There's a little about me... make sure you leave me a comment on my blog and let me know you dropped in.
