Super Easy Homemade Sloppy Joes

My kids and I don't like canned sloppy joe sauce. And I don't know what the point is. I can make homemade just as quick as opening a can and for a fraction of the cost :) Double the sauce if you like your sloppy joes extra sloppy. This is a great freezer recipe also. Make the meat mixture and freeze it in a ziplock bag. Thaw and warm before serving.

1 lb hamburger, browned and drained
1/2 c. ketchup
2 T brown sugar, heaping if you like really sweet
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 T bbq sauce

Mix together in a saucepan over medium until hot. Serve on hamburger buns or rolls. My kids love these. You can add a dash of hot sauce also if you like 'em sweet and spicy.

THX so much! I'd l wanted sloppy joes recently, but hate buying the flavor packets and tomato paste special for them. Now, I just have to get some hamburger meat. ;)

It amazes me the things people think they need cans or packets to cook. Did you know that they have packets of white sauce mix?! I prefer homemade sloppy joes as well, actually I tend to prefer just about everything homemade!
These look really good, with the Worcestershire sauce, I don't think I've ever added that in my sloppy joes. Looks so yummy!

I love sloppy joes.

I use the can. [hangs head in shame] lol. But that's because I never have any of the ingredients you mentioned except BBQ in my house. lol.

Did you know people pay 8 bucks for *beer bread mix*?! And you still have to add your own bottle of beer! People! It's like 2 cups of flour (or is it 3?) and a cup of sugar! Totally not worth 8 bucks!
