Jewelry Box Makeover

I gave my daughters my jewelry armoire which left my jewelry in a shoebox... LOL Well, after a couple of weeks, I'm over that! I went to DI and found this nice wood jewelry box for $3. But it needed a makeover (of course).

So, my new jewelry box went from this :(

to this :)

I think it looks nice on my dresser... and the best part? The paint was free. I participated in the Glidden Free Paint Giveaway and got two free cans of paint... one pink and one red. I've been dying to paint something ever since the nice mail man dropped them off on my doorstep.

I haven't done many projects this summer (besides cleaning, packing and unpacking) and I'm really excited to get back in the swing of things.

Verrrrrry Nice. But I have one question.... what do you do with the rest of your jewelry??? I would have to have 20-30 of those to house mine. Funny thing is...I don't ware jewelry very often but I love it and making it. LOL

BTW, I read your comment about some of the personal stuff going on in your life. I prayed to have the right words to say...I don't know what those words are exactly, so I'll just say that I'm sorry to hear it. You will come out on the other side of these "hard" years stronger and wiser. (And your kids will one day recognize how strong you were for them.)

I love the "where do I put the rest of my jewelry" comment :)

I do have tons and tons of jewelry and it fills up lots of containers, but I'm using this for my most worn stuff.
