White Trash French Fry Casserole

Sometimes at our house things are really crazy. Sometimes I work late, I have no dinner planned and no money to take the kids out for dinner. Sometimes I don't feel like washing dishes since I have no dishwasher. Sometimes I don't care if the table was wiped down or if the folding table we're using during the holidays (since it's bigger) has a tablecloth on it. This was one of those days...  Also notice that peace sign boy is wearing his coat at the dinner table. Our furnace had gone out and we were all bundled up in the house.

White Trash French Fry Casserole
(It's only white trash when your table setting looks like mine. We've had it on nice dishes and it doesn't seem so bad...) This is one of my kids very favorite casseroles. It's really simple and tastes great.

1 lb hamburger
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can corn, drained
1 bag shoestring french fries or whatever kind of frozen fries you have on hand
½ lb grated cheese

Brown hamburger and drain. Meanwhile bake the fries in the oven until done. Add the soup and the corn to the hamburger. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan (or keep it in the pan if you have a really cool Ikea pan like me). Spread the cooked fries on top. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 until cheese is melted. Serve with ketchup.
