Thanksgiving Table: Inexpensive and Adorable

My total cost on this Thanksgiving table setting: $3. I had to buy two extra bags of gold pine cones from the dollar store since I only had one and I bought votive candles and dressed them up. Everything else I scrounged up from around my house and boxes in my garage.

If you haven't checked out how I did the votive candles, you totally should. It's so easy and they come out great. The popcorn kernels go well with them, I think.

I pulled out my rubber stamps and used my Give Thanks stamp for the first time. I have tons of stamps and rarely use them. I used brown cardstock, stamped on it, cut it out, cut the corners with decorative scissors and used a brown chalk around the outside for effect. I had the orange ribbon on hand already.

This is what my china looks like. I have a place setting for eight with dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, cups & saucers, serving bowls, everything. I paid a whopping $15 for the set a few years ago at a yard sale. They even survived the big cupboard crash I had a while back. A few of the cups got chips, so I got rid of all the cups, but the rest of the set survived.

These birds usually go in my living room. I picked them up at a yard sale also. I was buying two adorable pink and white lamps last year for my girls' room. The guy doing the yard sale was trying to get rid of everything since it was the end of the day, so he said I could have the lamps for $1 each, but I had to also pick something free for each thing I bought, so I got these two birds. I love them.

I had the wire baskets and cup holder already. They were in the store I used to own.
