Vintage Patriotic Plates

I bought these 1976 amber glass plates a few years ago at a thrift store for really cheap and then just had them sitting in a box. Once I moved to this house, I decided to put them up. The plate holder is just an inexpensive one from the dollar store. I think they're pretty cool, I love the patriotic symbols. They're in the hallway to my garage, so no-one but me really sees them, but at least they're out of storage for a while until something else strikes my fancy.

Your plates are great. I used to have a patriotic themed bedroom. We have since moved, but I still enjoy those kind of items. Your stand for something sign is very cute also...and significant!

Congrats on voting! I voted for the first time in 1980. ; )
Your plates are pretty. Philadelphians love patriotic stuff. We have an Independence Hall and Betsy Ross plate here.

Your patriotic plates are great, I remember 1976, as yesterday, It was my 12 year of school, they made us take pictures in red white and blue. None of the drapes.

I love the plates. The color reminds me of 1976! I will be voting on election day. I can't figure out everyone voting...it seems like they are just voting whenever they want to...

I love the colour of those plates - very seventies. In fact I think our garage door was painted this colour in the 70's!!!

I love your plates and the little picture/stitched piece underneath. It compliments the arrangement perfectly.

I love this display! I think using a plate rack and changing the plates around to reflect the seasons or holidays would be neat. These could be for Independance Day.
Congrats on voting for the first time. I am missing that early voting they have in Tennessee where I was last election day.

Those are very nice amber glass plates. It seems that a lot of series of collectibles were produced for the U.S. Bicentennial. I enjoy having such patriotic items in the home.
