About Me

Hi! I'm Angie! I'm a 40-something year old mom with three fabulous adult kids and a wonderful husband, who is my best friend!  I will always consider myself a homemaker no matter what life throws at me!

I believe that there is nothing more important in this world than the family. I know that being a wife and mother is the most important calling I will have in this life!

I love all things vintage; thrift stores and estate sales are my
favorite places to shop and the color pink makes me very happy!  I have a pink glamper named Millie and she's the cutest vintage camper you ever did see!

I'm a full time caregiver and wife to my husband who is a disabled veteran. We have a lot of adventures together!

I love what I do!  Taking care of my family is extremely fulfilling.

I've always been a bit of a social butterfly.  I LOVE planning and hosting events and parties.  If it were up to me we'd still live in the era of dinner parties and weekend get-togethers... of course I'd be wearing my lovely pink hostess apron and pearl necklace as I served the hors d'oeuvres!

Having a husband with severe combat PTSD means I don't host as many parties as I used to, but I still enjoy it when I can.

Cooking and baking are some of my greatest passions!  Rarely will you find a recipe on my blog that isn't simple enough for my kids to make and inexpensive enough that anyone can afford it.  I love making fabulous food from basic ingredients!  I also enjoy canning and old fashioned recipes.


I love simple crafts and decorating my house.  I love making over or upcycling thrift store and yard sale finds to keep my house always looking different and adorable.  My entire house is decorated in vintage and that's the way I like it!

I love beautiful clothing!  My favorite clothing era is the late 1940s through the early 1960s.  I wear dresses and skirts almost every day and enjoy dressing in a vintage style. I am a published pinup model and love being in front of the camera!

I really enjoy teaching on all sorts of topics.  I'm not sure how I became so comfortable in front of a crowd, but somewhere along the way I did!

I love volunteering with veteran and caregiver organizations. It's a great passion of mine. 

And last, but not least, I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints... known to some of you as a Mormon.  I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ with all my heart and I am so grateful for all the many blessings they have given me!  If you'd like to know more about my religious beliefs, I love answering questions!
