I grabbed a 5 qt thing of rainbow sherbet the other day at the grocery store. It was on sale for $2. Every time I open my garage freezer it stares at me and says Why don't you have 7up? We aren't really pop drinkers at our house, so it's not something I think of when I'm shopping or making out my list. I'm not so much a fan of sherbet by itself. We love 7up & sherbet floats. Sometimes we eat them as floats and sometimes I swish them all up in my smoothie maker. Judging by all the 7up float ads I've seen, these have been around for a while. Why did they go out of style? I think they're much better than root beer floats!
yeah, when did they stop making these? My kids love them! why does rootbeer always get the glam of being a float?
ReplyDeleteooh i really love lime sherbet, ginger ale, a little pineapple juice, and some maraschino cherries. oh my goodness, it's amazing! you could probably use 7-up instead of ginger ale!
ReplyDeleteI really love raspberry sherbet and 7 up. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of this.. I'm going to try it! Sounds Yummy!
ReplyDeleteYuuum, Angie! I'd never even heard of that - but now I want one. And I'm nursing a baby at 12:26 am. Gonna have to wait, LOL.
ReplyDeleteYou can also use Diet 7up (or Sprite) and mix it with a box of vanilla cake mix and then bake according to directions to make a low-fat, low-cal cake. Tastes AWESOME. Don't add any of the ingredients - just combo a boxed mix and one can of 7up or Sprite and bake. My cousin-in-law made it for a picnic last year and it's so hauntingly good (like a Twinkie). Yummo. Now I really need some 7up. :o)
And I will be buying that tomorrow at the commissary lol
ReplyDeleteMMMM that sounds so good...I need to try that! Have a wonderful weekend...Julie
ReplyDeleteI love these and we always called them Freezes.

I love rainbow sherbert! And I love floats like that but have not had one in years!!! Maybe you should just make some today and take some pictures! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI have had just what Heather described served as punch at various baby showers...its the best! But kind of rich, so a little punch cup is just enough.
ReplyDeleteI've never had one but I do love 7-up! I also love rootbeer floats so if these are better, I definitely have to try it! I mixed sierra mist with lime sherbet for my son's birthday party to make "yoda soda" and that was really good, I guess this would be similar. Thanks for linking!
