Caramel Popcorn Recipe

Caramel Popcorn

BIG bowl of popped popcorn
1/2 c butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 c brown sugar
1/4 c corn syrup
1/2 tsp baking soda

Cook butter, salt, sugar and corn syrup for 5 minutes of medium heat stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda. It will get nice and foamy. Pour over popcorn and stir well. I've been making this recipe since I was in high school and I still LOVE it!

  2. I wanna come!!!

I use that same recipe for caramel corn, but I dump everything in a brown paper bag, shake it, stick it in the microwave for a couple of minutes, take it out and shake it again, then lay it out on wax paper to cool. Super easy and no stirring required!

  23. Oh, and I just have to add one more thing ... you won't be scared sleeping here at the Cottage, Rocky is in the hall, not the bedroom. You will have to walk by him, but he's harmless, I swear! Haha.

Okay, now I'm off to get the ingredients for that yummy popcorn. :-)
